Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese spiritual healing practice
which assists with stress reduction and relaxation while promoting overall well-being.
Reiki has been a deeply meaningful part of my own healing journey. I earned my Usui Reiki Master Certification in 2021 after in-person training at the Zen Centre of Vancouver, where I learned how energy can support both physical and emotional balance. This practice continues to teach me presence, patience, and connection — lessons I’m grateful to share with others.
Reiki originated in Japan nearly a century ago, founded by Dr. Mikao Usui as a form of hands-on healing that restores balance to the mind, body, and spirit. In Japanese, Rei means “universal intelligence” and Ki refers to the vital life force that flows through all living things. Today, Reiki is practiced worldwide and often used alongside other wellness approaches to support the body’s natural healing ability.
Each session is an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and let your body rest while energy does its quiet work. Whether you’re feeling stressed, seeking clarity, or simply in need of grounding, Reiki offers a gentle reset. I also love working with animals, who tend to respond beautifully to this subtle form of care.

During a Reiki session, you’ll rest comfortably, fully clothed, on a massage table. I’ll place my hands just above or lightly on different areas of your body, focusing on helping energy flow where it’s needed most. Most people find it deeply relaxing, often describing feelings of warmth, calm, or gentle waves of energy.

Just come as you are. It helps to wear comfortable clothing and drink water before and after your session to support energy flow.

Reiki isn’t tied to any specific religion or belief system. It’s a simple, universal practice that works with the natural life force energy present in all living things.

Yes. Animals are naturally receptive to energy work and often respond very well to Reiki. Sessions can help with relaxation, recovery from injury or surgery, emotional stress, or transitions such as moving or introducing a new pet. I adjust each session based on the animal’s comfort level and needs.

That’s entirely up to you. It is recommended to conduct four session of treatment close to each other, if possible. Some people come regularly as part of their self-care routine, while others book sessions during periods of stress or transition. You can tune in to what your body needs.

My first ever distance Reiki session was with Liana. At first I was a little skeptical since I was in a different country and the physical presence was not there but once we went through the healing session I could not believe it. Woke up the next day feeling amazing and grounded. I was so surprised of the possibility of distance reiki and feel truly blessed to have had that session!
