Pet Portraits
There’s something magical about capturing the soul of a beloved companion in watercolour — the tilt of a head, the spark in their eyes, the quiet comfort they bring. Our pets hold a place in our hearts that words can’t quite reach, and painting them is my way of honouring that bond.
Each portrait is created by hand in my studio, using delicate washes and subtle details to bring their spirit to life. The transparency of watercolour allows me to capture not just a likeness, but a feeling - the softness of fur, the warmth of a gaze, the joy they bring into our lives.
Whether it’s a heartfelt tribute or a gift for someone who loves their animal as much as you do, this is a keepsake meant to last forever.
What to Expect

Most portraits are around $375 CAD, with a $100 deposit due at booking. Final pricing may vary slightly depending on size and level of detail, with the remaining balance payable upon completion.

Each portrait takes about 3–4 weeks from start to finish — that includes drying time and packaging, so it’s ready to hang the moment it arrives.

The better the photo, the truer the portrait. Choose a clear, well-lit image that shows your pet’s face in focus — ideally with both eyes visible and a bit of their torso or paws if it adds character. Avoid dark or blurry shots; good light brings their personality to life.

Yes! If you have a few favourites, send them along. I can often combine elements to best capture your pet’s personality and presence.

Absolutely. Dogs, cats, birds, horses — if they’ve left paw prints (or hoof prints) on your heart, I’d love to paint them.
I recently commissioned a piece of art work from Liana of my dog who had recently passed away. Liana was not only incredibly professional and upfront with pricing, but put such thought and care into the piece- frequently checking in over the course of the project and with incredible attention to detail. The final piece was better than I could have imagined and truly brought tears to my eyes - and my husband’s, who was the recipient of the gift. She is incredibly talented and such a kind and thoughtful person. I cannot recommend her enough!
